Google Notebook
The next offering from Google has been released in the form of a plug-in called Google Notebook http://www.google.com/notebook/ I decided to download and have a play and I have to admit it’s a real handy little tool to ahve in your plug-in toolbox.
I’m of those people that at any given time on my desktop I have between 10 and 15 windows of notebook open or Microsoft OneNote. Continuously during surfing I am stopping to makes notes or copying and pasting text onto the pads to refer to later or simply read when I have the time. To this end I have a folder full of saved Notepad pages.
For people like myself this is a nice tool, it now takes away the need for all my notepad windows and all the clutter, already I have started to use it to great effect and lose my open windows. The Google Notebook also saves images which is quite useful as well and saves the space in your Bookmarks from becoming full of links to images. I know in all the browsers I sue, Firefox, IE, Flock and Opera they are full of pages upon pages of bookmarks of text or images I keep promising myself to go over, I believe the Google Notebook will take some of the stress from this and have it nearby and more convenient than most book marks. There is an extension for Internet Explorer and for Firefox.
Definitely worth the bother if you want to clear some clutter and have something ready to copy and paste those useful snippets of information.
