The build of the Search and Go special features portal and mobile web directory is again picking up strength. We had a couple of delays while we concentrated on other projects from our own respective web firms. One has to keep in mind that Southbourne Internet are not the only web development company involved in the build other very talented individuals from other web firms are working together ont his project and we all reached some form of harmonious - democratic edge - to make this portal work.
Vincent Marcello, Alan Hill -= Southbourne Internet, Paul Arlott - Tolra Systems, Ed Merritt – E.Merritt studios, Jon Gibbins - November 5th Design, Zach Inglis - there are more and we have now started a separate developer and announcement blog in which I will profile everybody including some of the great content writers we have.

Next due release is the currency converter, online weather station and then Interactive news. All of these should be going live in the next six weeks.

We have now added to the growing number of highly informative articles. Latest additions include the Health & Nutrition Articles section. There is some good work in there that explains common ailments written by experts in their own fields.

Also added an article written for us by Karon Thackston titled: Search Engine Copywriting and a few more gems arriving in the couple of weeks.

I was on the SEO Forum forum this morning catching up on some posting and seeing what’s new. I came accross this thread IE7 Beta 2 Leaked and decided to kick the tyres a bit and installed a copy of Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2.

I’ll be running afew test on it this week see whats new. Here is a screenshot using a test page from the Search and Go site.

First couple of problems I have encountered with it -

1. when resizing a window on a site that uses no tables, built with DIVS and strict XHTML it whites out, you have to refresh to get the site back once it’s been resized.

2. The mouse freezes into a double headed arrow when dragging the window corners to resize. It forced a ctrl/alt/del to leave to escape.
